Ergonomic Chef Knife - 8 Nitrum Stainless Steel Blade - Polypropylene Handle with Elastomer Coating - Black Color
Category: arcos knife
The Arcos Color Prof line of kitchen knives, designed for prolonged and heavy commercial use, is now available for home chefs who desire the same precise cutting tool utilized by professional chefs globally. Manufactured in Spain using an exclusive Arcos stainless steel formula called Nitrum, the blade of this 8-inch chef's knife (200 mm) is enriched with nitrogen for enhanced hardening and durability.
Featuring a revolutionary ergonomic handle design, the Color Prof series incorporates a core of polypropylene (PP) in the handle's center, which is then covered with a soft rubber coating. This unique blend of materials provides greater comfort, adaptability, and resistance to liquids, ensuring a secure and slip-resistant grip, even at high temperatures.
These knives are not only NSF approved but also HACCP compliant, allowing users to identify each knife for cutting a specific food group through a color-coded dot system on the handle. For instance, a red dot for meat and a green dot for salads, making it effortless for vegetarians to preserve and secure their choice in the kitchen, in accordance with European standards.
Although dishwasher safe, hand washing is recommended. Nitrum, the nitrogen-enriched stainless steel formula exclusive to Arcos knives, offers improved hardness for longer-lasting sharpness, enhanced microstructure for higher resistance to corrosion, and exceptional edge durability, reducing the need for frequent re-sharpening. Importantly, the Nitrum production process has no adverse impact on the air, water, or soil.
Arcos, a leading Spanish knife manufacturer and one of the oldest in the world, dates back to 1745 when Don Juan de Arcos began hand-crafting the first knives and scissors marked with the Arcos brand, some of which are now displayed in the National Museum of Archeology of Madrid. In 1875, Gregorio Arcos Aroca transformed the small hand-crafted workshop into a mass-production factory for professional knives, and a century later, Gregorio Arcos Villanueva spearheaded the company's international expansion.
Today, Arcos remains a family-owned business, proud of its remarkable heritage and dedicated to research, design, and innovation to maintain the highest quality standards. Producing 11,000,000 knives annually, Arcos distributes its unique pieces in over 70 countries around the world, cementing its status as an international benchmark in the cutlery sector.
